SUSTAINABLE AND EQUITABLE BUSINESS MODEL IN THE VALUE CHAIN OF ARTISAN FISHERIES

EcoGourmet is a program that seeks to strengthen the value chain of artisanal fishing in Colombia and other Latin American countries, through participatory work with organizations of artisanal fishermen committed to good fishing practices, and with strategic commercial partners who share the concept of purchase. and responsible consumption, promoting consumer awareness and improving the quality of life of local communities.

 

Through the following lines of action:

 

  1. Implementation of good fishing capture, handling and commercialisation practices.
     

  2. Strengthening of institutional and governance processes.
     

  3. Generation of trade agreements at fair and equitable prices.
     

  4. Raising awareness of the final consumer about the origin of the products and responsible consumption habits.
     

  5. Evaluation of socio-economic and ecological impacts on communities and resources used.
